A leading name in the online casino operation sphere has confirmed that it intends to expand into a major Canadian province.
Rush Street Interactive Incorporated has decided to open up in Ontario, which is home to the city of Toronto.
The new move will allow the company to access new markets.
It comes after it was given the green light to operate by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
The company said in a press release that it will be providing its mobile-optimized casino options.
It will also be offering its sports betting options, it said.
It also said that it will be offering the service via the BetRivers.ca brand.
It intends to make a new service available soon – it is thought that this will be on April 4.
Statements from company heads
In a statement, a senior figure at the firm said that the move will cover a number of the company’s features such as its rounds of peer-to-peer slot games.
Richard Schwartz, who is the chief executive officer at the company, also emphasized the fact that there are believed to be millions of people in the province.
“We are now one step closer to launching the BetRivers.ca real-money online casino and sportsbook in Ontario and bringing unique betting options such as our innovative peer-to-peer slot tournaments and same-game parlays, fast payouts, and award-winning customer service to the province’s millions of residents,” he said.
He explained that the company had previously offered some of its “social gaming” options for free – and that this new move meant that players could now play for cash.
“Our free-play social gaming platform has experienced strong traction in Ontario to date and we look forward to offering those players similarly entertaining and responsible experiences when our real-money offerings come on April 4,” he said.
